I play jazzy and funky stuff, and used to play a USA Strat with Lace Sensor pickups, which I had to sell to move here (Japan). I found I couldn't live without an electric, so shopped around for a 2nd hand cheap-but-decent saviour. The Fernandes doesn't have the same range of sounds as the Strat, but the 3 offered by the P/U selector are certainly clearly defined. The humbucker alone is very powerful and a bit unfriendly to my liking, no subtlety at all, but obviously good for grunt.
The neck alone is quite mellow, with less middle poke than the Strat, but nice enough. Easily the best sound comes from the centre switch position, mixing both pickups - this gives an out-of-phase sound that surpasses the Strat to my ears, and sounds good clean or overdriven, really nicely balanced between the raucus humbucker and the innocent single.
Both PUs seem very quiet. Overall, pretty limited sound possibilities, but it does one of them at least very nicely.

I've been playing about 15 years, and this is my 10th guitar. I play for pleasure and relaxation, and my ability is well below what you might expect for 15 years experience!!! I also currently own a Simon & Patrick acoustic. Before the Fernandes, my USA Strat was my main guitar for 10 years before having to sell it, and I certainly believed one had to buy the 'original' to get quality, having played a lot of rubbish guitars before. However, considering I bought the Fernandes as a very cheap solution to a electric-less life, it has far surpassed my expectations, is a beautiful instrument to look at and very nice to play, easier than the Strat, and although not a great range of sounds, it does an out-of-phase ploink that keeps me smiling!
If it was stolen, I'd certainly consider Fernandes again, being aware now that you don't have to shell out tons of money for brand-name quality.
Karunakaran earlier used to be very natural with his love stories. That has become his USP with good dose of Feel, Entertainment, and family emotions. But then, there is nothing of such sort in this film.
Tez Review
The first half is more of between Tej, his friends and family. The comedy attempted her is very much forced and very few worked. Even the scenes between the lead pair are boring. Even though the twist before the interval is good, it fizzes out in the second half. Every scene is boring and predictive. The Climax is further disappointing. Finally, TejI Love you is one more disappointment for Sai Dharam Tej.
